For January's train we are following along with the Scottish Hogmanay tradition of out with the old, in with the new. To quote from DSF member EhKho:

It's actually bad luck to let the new year in without letting the current year out first. When I was wee it was my job to let the current year out by opening the back door at 11.50pm and leaving it open for 5 minutes, it was my Dad's job to open the front door at 1 minute past midnight to let the new year in.

There is also a tradition of first footing on Hogmanay and a few superstitions surrounding that too. A first foot should always be a tall, dark haired man, you can first foot your own house as long as you're not actually in the house at the stroke of midnight, women are seen as bad luck and should never be allowed to be the first foot across the door. The first foot should also bear gifts; a lump of coal resembles warmth and comfort, whisky to ensure you never go thirsty and shortbread to ensure you never go hungry.

Welcome to September's BTB Blog Train! Our theme this month is "Inspire Me". I LOVE making papers so that's what I have gone with...and lots of them! LOL

My portion has 12 polkadot patterned papers, 9 chevron patterned papers and 12 solids, all lightly textured

All are full page sized @ 3600x3600 pixels (12") 300dpi/ppi.

I am so excited to participate for the first time in DSC's Blog Train! I love the colors....and of course I love giving freebies LOL

My portion has several parts, I love making matching glitters and solids *giggles*. The main contribution includes 4 patterned papers, 1 frame, 1 curled ribbon, 1 flower and 2 tiny brads.
